Xperia XZ Premium
The Xperia XZ Premium is the top of line product announced by Sony at the MWC and it is one of first to be announced with newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The Xperia XZ is simply a spec monster, boasting highest specs in all departments from display to processor to camera. It is built with a 5.5″ Triluminos 4K display with support for HDR, a display which Sony claims is 40% brighter than the Z5 Premium. An useful point to note is that the device does not run at 4K all the time as it will smartly adjust the settings where necssary, for example. enjoying photos, videos and even web browsing. This will definitely help to avoid the battery drain out.
The other big highlight of this device is the Motion Eye camera, a rear 19MP, f/2.0 aperture camera. The camera is capable to capture 4K video, and a world first 720p HD video at an amazing 960fps slow-motion (albeit for only 0.18 seconds). The front camera is a 13MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
Other notable features of XZ Premium is 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 3,230 mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 as well as Qnovo adaptive charging support. The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, and is IP68 rated. It also boasts of a 1Gbps LTE modem inside, making it ready for high speed wireless data transfer.
Xperia XZs
For those who are looking for a step down (price?), the Xperia XZs is not too far away. The XZs is a 5.2-inch, 1080p smartphone with a Snapdragon 820 chip. The best part of it is that it is keeping the same 19-megapixel that does 4K video and up to 960 frames per second as the XZ premium. The battery is a tat smaller at 290mAh compared to the XZ premium but that should not mean a reduction in battery life vs the premium since it should consumer slightly less power.
The XZs also has the QuickCharge 3.0 and Qnovo adaptive charging support. It also runs on Android 7.1 Nougat, and is IP68 rated too. It is definitely sitting closely to the top XZ Premium.
